Tucker & Carr Wedding Shower in Memphis & Adventures on Beale Street

I  finally gave in and attended my first wedding shower! I know, I know.  So not manly, but I get a pass because it was for my younger sister and her fiance, Johnny. My family and Johnny had a great trip driving out to Memphis and staying at his parents house in Collierville, TN. We had  a very relaxing and fun weekend getting to meet all of his relatives and close friends.

Beale Street

Chris and I spent Saturday night in downtown Memphis with one of our good buddies, Bo Hughes, who lives and works in Memphis. He had a sweet condo in an old historic paper-mill building that had awesome views of downtown Memphis and the Mississippi River.  We hopped on a trolley and headed to Beale Street passing through all kinds of historical hot spots along the way.  We enjoyed a great dinner at the Majestic before heading to the Flying Saucer for a local Memphis brewed beer.  After meeting up with one of Bo’s friends we headed to Beale and stopped in at a few of the most popular places. It was so not what I had expected and was not scary or dangerous like people always say.  Beale Street is a must if you are ever in the area!
